Exterior paint preparation
For new concrete:
- Leave it to dry at least 28 days.
- Apply Nippon Paint 5100 Wall Sealer or other appropriate primer 1 coat.
- Apply Nippon Paint Weatherbond or other exterior paints 2 coats.
For old cement:
- Scrub the old paint off. (Do not use wire brushes.)
- On an area that has mold or algae, it must be scrubbed off and cleaned first. When the surface is dry, apply Nippon Paint Vinilex Bio Wash 1 time and leave to dry for 1 day.
- Repair cracks with Nippon Paint Vinilex Wall Putty.
- Apply the solvent-based Nippon Paint Excel Primer 1 coat.
- Apply Nippon Paint Weatherbond or other exterior paints 2 coats.
Interior paint preparation
For new concrete:
- Leave it to dry at least 28 days.
- Apply Nippon Paint 5200 Wall Sealer as a primer, 1 coat.
- Apply Nippon Paint AirCare or other interior paints 2 coats.
For old cement:
- Scrub the old paint off. (Do not use wire brushes.)
- On an area that has fungus and/or algae, it must be scrubbed off and cleaned first. When the surface is dry, apply Nippon Paint Vinilex Bio Wash 1 time and leave to dry for 1 day.
- Repair cracks with Nippon Paint Vinilex Wall Putty.
- Apply the water-based Nippon Paint Aqua Sealer or the solvent-based Nippon Paint Excel Primer 1 coat.
- Apply Nippon Paint Air Care or other interior paints 2 coats.
