The paint is faded. There are white stains, making the wall paint look uneven.
Causes
- A new concrete wall that is finished in a short time will have the painted colour fade quickly. The area that is destroyed by alkali from the cement will have white spots, making the overall colour look uneven.
- There is high moisture on the cement wall or the wall is not dried up completely.
- The cement is not left to set at least 28 days before painting.
Solutions
- If the wall is just plastered, leave it to dry at least 28 days. (Moisture is not over 6% and pH is not higher than 8%).
- Scrub off and clean the old paint with water and a plastic brush.
- Apply Nippon Paint Ultra Block Sealer, which is high-resistant to moisture as a primer, 1 coat.
- Apply the outer coating 2 coats:
- Interior: Nippon Paint AirCare
- Exterior: Nippon Paint Weatherbond
